The introduction of a Class C proved beneficial for the Newcomers and the non-competitive children. They used a map with the course already drawn on it and did not have to do the Memory-O.
The most unusual thing about this year’s event was the fact that too many volunteers showed up too early!? But it is always great to have volunteers!
Most of the top scores (by Hayden, Adrian, Scott, Diana, Linda, Marie, and others?) were obtained by those who found the most Mystery Photo Controls, by searching the park the week before. Something to keep in mind for anyone keen to participate again next year.
Congratulations to Hayden for squeezing out the First Place victory with a 52 min, 21 sec run and finding all controls except one, the Photo one on the southwest side of Goodacre Lake. Winners were treated with ‘gold’ coins and lucky lottery tickets. Hey – did anyone win the big 5 million??
