About 40 orienteers showed up at Aylard Farm to experience the challenging and scenic terrain on offer. My sincere apologies to Hayden Earle and Scott Sheldrake who spent at least 45 minutes locating and moving my misplaced Control #11 on Course 4. As a consequence we have produced "adjusted results" for Course 4. The adjusted results assume Hayden and Scott get best leg times for Controls 10-11 and 11-12 to make up for all the lost time. That gives a more realistic portrayal of what their approximate overall times would have been without the course setter's mistake. I not only owe them time but perhaps a beer or two as well....
Still, congratulations are in order to Jeremy Lawrence who won Course 4 outright on an un-adjusted time of 88:45, Josh Pelletier for 104:08 on Course 3, Jasmine and Dawn for 47:28 on Course 2 and the Ling Boys at 107:52 on Course 1 - good time for 4 and 5 years olds.
Real achievements for newcomers to our club though are Dan Ciobotaru's 133:21 completion of Course 4 and the Kvakic Family completing Course 3 in 138:01.
None of this would not have been possible without the help of our volunteers: Hayden, Scott, Leigh, Andrea, Maggie, Petra, Gill and Joshua.
