Been orienteering for while? Would you be interested in expanding your skills in Orienteering as well as help your Orienteering Club continue offer many interesting orienteering events? Please consider becoming an Orienteering Official with Orienteering Canada.
ORIENTEERING LEVEL 100 OFFICIAL
This course is designed for active orienteering club members ready to take on the responsibility of running a local club event. This training will include:
- An overview of the long-term athlete development program
- Organizing a club level event
- Orienteering Safety
- How to design beginner and intermediate orienteering courses
- How to use course design software
Training for the Level O100 is divided into two phases:
Phase 1 - Theory - this is completed entirely online through the O100 Online Module
Phase 2 - Practical - this requires an official to run a C-Event under guidance of a mentor.
Graduates of this course will receive a certification endorsed by Orienteering Canada.
