Despite a drizzly morning that didn't look very promising there was little to no wet stuff falling during the event, but everyone did get wet feet. My apologies to those out on Course 2 as at least two of the controls were really of Course 3 standard in navigational difficulty so the result times were quite long. And East Sooke Park also certainly claimed its victims on Courses 3 and 4 - both navigationally very challenging. Congratulations to John and Jana who were the only two to complete Course 4.
Also congratulations to a few of our newer orienteers who were brave enough to complete at least a good portion of Course 3 and to learn much in the process.
Special thanks to Andrea Gagnon and John Downey for help with setup and registration and to John Downey, Bob Barlow, Lorne Daniel and Larry Pontus for control pickup.
Splits to come soon
