NOTICE : Hello orienteers! Tomorrow's event is still on however, due to an unplanned gate closure the original parking location is not accessible. Instead, all vehicles can park at the parking lor adjacent the Q center and registration will happen at the new location as well.

A warning that depending upon routes and attack points some of the trails in the area have packed slush and are slippery in sections. Good gripping footwear and some caution are advised. I look forward to seeing everyone there!

This will be a classic meet consisting of two courses of varying difficulty : Beginner and Regular. Juan de Fuca map 1:5000 scale sprint map.
C-1 Beginner 2.2 km: a point-to-point orienteering course (get controls in order). They are fairly simple with some requiring a slight deviation off-trail but close to obvious linear features.
C-2 Regular - 18 controls, collect them in any order. 60 minute cutoff. Some of the controls will be located off trail with a moderate degree of difficulty (depending upon route choice).
Course closes at 3:30pm
Registration : From 12:00 to 12:45 pm.

Starts : Staggered starts from 1pm onward.
Cost: $8 per map + $2 for SI stick rental. This event uses SI timing which allow you to track your time between controls. An SI stick is required - bring your own or rent one for $2. VICO Membership required - if this is your first time trying Orienteering, membership is free for the first year. Renewing members, membership is $5 per year.
