Event Summary:   Over 50 brave souls came out for our annual Spook O at Uplands Park, and enjoyed the thrill of night orienteering with a little taste of Hallowe'en.  There was a great mix of beginners and seasoned orienteers alike including Trex Girls, Army Cadets, UVIC students and families.  The weather for a change was spectacular, with a nice clear night.  After some great runs, participants enjoyed hanging out, sipping hot chocolate and comparing their adventures thanks to the split times provided by the Sport Ident timing system.  Best times were achieved by Ben Brooks on the Novice Spook O Course and Hayden Earle on the Advanced Nighthawk Course.  Special mention to the top placed junior participants from the Trex Team 2, who completed the Spook O Course with a  time of 39 :41.

Special thanks to Scott Sheldrake for all his help in organizing the Sport Ident and electronic timing results.
